Dear MWDSI Colleagues:
It is with great honor and humility that I accept the role of President for the Midwest Decision Sciences Institute (MWDSI). I am profoundly grateful to all MWDSI members who have entrusted me with this responsibility.
Ever since my doctoral studies at the University of Houston, I have been a proud member of DSI. My involvement has spanned a range of roles, from session and track chairs to Vice President of MWDSI, and recent Program Chair of the MWDSI conference. This diverse experience has shaped my understanding and appreciation of our community.
The MWDSI boasts a rich legacy, with roots dating back to 1970, and our jurisdiction spans across an expansive 15 states, including North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania. This geographical reach reflects the diversity and breadth of our institute.
As the President, my primary aim is to foster a transparent, collegial environment by closely working with our board members. I am committed to ensuring that member engagement and support are at the forefront of our institute’s agenda. These will be our key drivers as we strive for growth and continue our unwavering support for DSI.
Please visit our website regularly to stay updated on our latest news and initiatives. I also warmly invite you to join us at our annual conference. Together, we can shape the future of MWDSI. Thank you for your trust and support.
