2026 MWDSI Conference Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the MWDSI Board and the Organizing Committee, I am pleased to invite you to the 2026 Midwest Decision Sciences Institute Annual Conference, to be hosted at Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky (Greater Cincinnati Region), on April 10–11, 2026.
The theme of the 2026 conference, “Decision Sciences in an Age of Uncertainty: Exploring Complexity, Innovation, and Resilience Across Disciplines”, underscores the critical challenges and opportunities confronting scholars, practitioners, and educators. In an era marked by global volatility, technological disruption and organizational complexity, decision sciences provide essential frameworks for addressing pressing problems across business, government, and society.
The conference program will include a broad range of scholarly paper presentations, panel sessions, workshops, and keynote addresses. The program will also feature the MWDSI Student Case Competition, the Stan Hardy Best Conference Paper Award, and the Best Student Paper Award. In addition, opportunities will be available for exhibitors and sponsors, networking events, and an industry facility visit.
Submissions of full papers, abstracts, and proposals will be managed through the Oxford Abstracts conference management system, which ensures a rigorous and efficient review process. Additional details regarding submission guidelines, deadlines, and registration will be announced on the MWDSI website.
The conference will take place on the modern campus of Northern Kentucky University, situated minutes from downtown Cincinnati. The Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region offers a thriving business environment, rich cultural amenities, and an accessible location that together provide an excellent backdrop for scholarly exchange and professional networking.
We are grateful to the track chairs, reviewers, sponsors, and volunteers whose contributions make the conference possible. Their commitment sustains MWDSI’s mission of fostering research, practice, and education in decision sciences.
We look forward to welcoming you to Northern Kentucky University in April 2026 for what promises to be a stimulating and collegial gathering of the decision sciences community.
